2006 Mercedes-Benz SLK-Class 3.5L Description

2006 Mercedes Benz SLK350 CONSIGNMENT SALE - NO FEES 75,543 Miles Black / Black Powered Retractable Hardtop Adult Owned & Garage Kept Clean Carfax VIN: WDBWK56F36F106914 Evolve Motors and Chicago Car Club are pleased to present this 2006 Mercedes Benz SLK350! The more time we spend around this car the more we like it. These SLKs are all too often overshadowed by their more-powerful SL siblings, but we sure don't think the living-in-the-shadow is warranted; these SLKs are sharp-looking roadsters that, with their short wheelbase and light weight, offer a very fun and involved driving experience. This particular SLK350, which we're selling on behalf of a local client, has been adult-owned and maintained well. It's been garage kept and it shows; the car is in very, very nice condition. Exterior: Black over black isn't always our favorite color combo, but it looks absolutely fantastic on this car. The shiny black paint against the chrome badging and xenon lights just works so well. Original paint (no touch ups, no resprayed panels) is in great shape. There are very few blemishes or signs of age. Blemishes include a couple minor chips on the hood, as well as a light scratch at the bottom of the rearmost part of the passenger rocker panel. The body is in good shape, though it's worth noting that there are two door dings on the car; one ding is at the front of the driver door, just behind the door crease, and the other is on the passenger side front fender, just ahead of the door crease. All glass and lights are clear and crack-free. 17" wheels are in excellent shape, with no curb rash or damage. Tires are new. 245mm Pirelli P Zero Nero GT in the rear, 225mm Goodyear Eagles up front. In the upper corner of the passenger rear window the tint is starting to peel a little bit, very minor of course, but worth noting. Interior: The interior of this car is a nice place to be. Very, very few signs of age throughout the interior. Black leather seats are excellent - the bolsters aren't scraped up, the seat bottoms aren't cracked, and none of the seams are frayed or torn. Seats are supportive and hug the driver just the right amount. Dash is in excellent shape, with no cracks, discoloring, or damage. Steering wheel is in excellent shape as well, with no fraying or damage. Door panels are in great shape, with no scuffs or kicked-open markings. All powered systems are functional; air conditioning, heated front seats, power top, mirrors, radio, all gauges, analog clock in gauge cluster, and power locks are all functional. Automatic transmission can be shifted into comfort or sport modes. There is a 6-disc CD changer in the glovebox, and two pop-out cupholders just above the radio screen. All interior lights are functional, and the ash tray is nice and clean. This car has not been smoked in. Under the Hood / Under the Car: The 3.5L DOHC V6 provides more than enough power to get this little roadster moving around. Power is rated at 268hp, with a 0-60mph time of just 5.4 seconds. With a wheelbase of just 95 inches, this car is extremely maneuverable and nimble. And with the top down, the sensation of speed is amplified. Now obviously this car is no AMG, which for a routine driver, we actually like. Suspension, while sporty enough to get you through corners nice and flat, is actually pretty supple and forgiving. No need to swerve petrified of potholes like so many other small roadsters, this car eats up bumps quite well. It's comfortable, quick, and looks great going down the road. This car will come with all original manuals and booklets, in addition to a handful of service receipts. No services have been too comprehensive, as this car has not encountered any major issues. It has been nothing but reliable and enjoyable for the current owner. The underbody is in excellent shape, as one would expect from a garage-kept, ten year old car. There are absolutely no tendencies or noises of concern, I wouldn't hesitate to fly in and drive it home. This is a well sorted, clean, and fun driver.
