Outstanding 2007 SL550 Mercedes with AMG package...
2007 Mercedes-Benz SL-Class Description
Fantastic 2007 SL550 that is equipped with all the luxury and safety options you would want. I am the 3rd owner and have had it for 7 years. Before purchasing it I talked with the owner, his dealership and the Mercedes dealership in Reno, NV to insure it had been properly maintained from new...all service has been done as required. Because of the low milage all the fluids were changed in October 2013 including the transmission, brakes and coolant. Car is equipped with the rare Autonomous Cruise control that will maintain the proper distance between your car and the one in front of you automatically, the Parktronic system alerts you as you get too close to an object when parking but also gives a warning when there is something beside you. The AMG sport package includes the AMG body panels; bumpers and rocker panels, AMG twin spoke wheels and paddle shifters mounted on the steering wheel. The seats are heated and cooled, have adjustable bolsters, lumbar support and massage system. Light Chestnut wood is featured on the console, door panels, shift lever and steering wheel. The car features the Keyless Go and entry system, 6 disc auxiliary CD changer plus a single CD slot above the radio. The retractable hard top is a wonder to behold; with the push of a button it lifts up, folds together and then hides away in the trunk...so ingenious is this system that when the top is stowed there is still room for two carry-on size bags and a couple of small shaving/makeup bags. This is a magnificent car that has been lovingly maintained by three owners. It will give you years of comfortable and exciting service.
There is a controversy regarding this car; AutoCheck claims it was sold at auction as frame damaged in about 2009; they claim they verified this information but refuse to release the name of the company that made the claim or the date it was entered. When I bought the car I pulled a CarFax and it was clean; no accidents, no frame damage; it still shows in CarFax as undamaged. To counter the erroneous AutoCheck claim I took the car to Caliber Collision in Reno, NV...they have a state of the art laser frame measuring table...they removed all the panels from the underside of the car, did a complete visual inspection that did not indicate any repair had been made. They then checked the measurements on the entire frame to make sure they were within Mercedes Benz limits...Mercedes allowance is 5 mm...there are no measurements that exceed 3 mm on the entire car; a copy of their report is in the pictures and I will be happy to send a copy to you if you are interested. I have driven this car for 7 years, it tracks perfectly; you can let go of the steering wheel at 130 mph and it stays perfectly straight, there has been no unusual tire wear, no vibration, absolutely nothing that would indicate this car had any frame damage. Caliber won't guarantee the car has never been in an accident but they do guarantee the frame and height measurements exceed Mercedes Benz standards.
If you are looking for a really nice SL550 this is one of the best; the paint is in excellent condition showing only minor imperfections due to age, the interior is also outstanding; just some normal wear marks. All systems are working properly, the car has been maintained by Mercedes Benz of Reno and German Automotive. All service has been done per Mercedes recommendations; some have even been done early just to make sure the car runs and drives like a $100,000+ car should.
