Up for sale is a 1951 Mercury 2-door coupe. This is a project with a lot of potential in a desired and iconic body style. The original frame is solid. The original brake pedal and mechanicals are all still there. There is no engine or transmission, it still has its original front and rear suspension/steering. The firewall is original and uncut.
The frontend sheet metal is currently mocked up and has the inner fenders. The lower quarter panels are not the best, but a decent replacement 4-door drivers side is also included to help piece back together. The upper quarter panels are straight and complete. The floor is rough, but new rear pan replacement panels were tacked in by the previous owner. Both front floor replacement panels are also included. The dash and steering wheel are complete with trim and gauges.
This car has never been cut up. The Merc has a very solid roof and greenhouse section, perfect for a possible 4-door to 2-door donor. All the glass is there, both the front and rear windshields are good. The doors are decent and contain working window regulators and cranks. The trim all looks to be there(see pictures). I also have the front and rear bumpers for it.
Will be sold with a bill-of-sale. The VIN tag is in place and legible. Bid to win, $500 due within 48 hours of end of auction. Any questions please let us know…
