1976 Mercury Capri Description
I AM LISTING THIS CAR ONE MORE TIME AT RIDICULOUS LOW STARTING PRICE DUE TO ME HAVING TOO MANY PROJECTS AND NO PLACE TO STORE IT INDOORS. RARE HARD TO FIND 1976 FORD CAPRI II VIRTUALLY RUST FREE, THIS IS YOUR LAST CHANCE TO OWN THIS 45,000 MILE GERMAN BUILT CAR for sale to high bidder with no buy now and no reserve a solid 1976 Ford Capri II. 2.3 4 speed.purchased this car from the original owner and I am second owner, Missouri title in my name and I made a copy of the original. MILES ARE 45,000 ORIGINAL. The paint is mostly original with the exception of the right front fender and lower right side due to a low speed accident long ago, car has been in storage since the late 70's. No rust to speak of, under vehicle is solid and still has the majority of the original undercoating. Some small places of surface rust here and there, the worst being in the right lower corner of windshield. I removed gas tank and had it professionally cleaned by a local radiator shop and lined with sealer. The car started and ran after that. The starter sounds bad when starting? but once started sounds pretty good, no smoke or bad noises. Could use a tune up and carburetor rebuild. I have not driven this car except around in the yard and a quick trip down the road to make sure it had all 4 gears which it did. Brakes are in need of attention but it does stop and E brake works. In short car will start and drive onto a trailer. Interior is nice, couple small tears and dash has 2 cracks headliner has some mouse holes.glass is good I had some Bmw wheels with tires that hold air so I put 4x108 to 4x110 adapters on so it was mobile. ASK ANY QUESTIONS YOU HAVE AND DONT BID UNLESS YOU HAVE THE FUNDS. 660-254-6700 leave message and I will call you back, NO GAMES CAR IS IN NWMO. Great hard to find original car to be restored. UPDATE: HAD ALOT OF PEOPLE ASK ABOUT THE STARTER SOUNDING BAD WHILE CRANKING SO I BOUGHT A NEW STARTER AND INSTALLED IT...IT SOUNDED MAYBE A LITTLE BETTER BUT AFTER ABOUT 10 STARTS THE STARTER DRIVE BROKE? SO I PUT THE ORIGINAL BACK ON AND IT BACK TO SAME IT WAS? THE SOUND REMINDS ME OF GM STARTERS THAT NEED A SHIM BUT OF COURSE THIS STYLE IS NON ADJUSTABLE SO IM STUMPED.
I do have a trailer and delivery is a possibility for a fee or try U ship.
