1968 Mercury Montego Description

Up for sale is a 1968 Mercury Montego MX Convertible. Original red on red car with a parchment top. The original 302 2v still sits under the hood though it has been converted into a 4bbl. Engine fires right up and has been gone over maintenance wise.Valve cover gaskets,spark plugs, wires, cap and rotor have all been replaced. The radiator, belts and hoses have also been replaced. Engine could probably use a refresh as it does smoke a little. The top has been replaced with a black top and is in great condition. The interior is in excellent shape for the year with no cracks in dash etc. The only fault with interior is drivers seat cover is tearing at the stitching. The body has had some bodywork and will need some bodywork. Still has original fenders but they have been patched at one time, the same applies to the quarters. The floors have one small patch one each side. Previous owner had a cheap paint job applied a few years back. This car is the proverbial "50 footer". It's a decent running driving car that can be restored while driving. A Marti Report is available for this vehicle.
