Hello, I am selling my 1969 Mercury Cougar Eliminator Survivor. Believed to have 35k original miles, but not documented. Desirable Competition Orange exterior color and a factory 4 speed close ratio transmission. The engine is matching numbers 351 4V with a factory rating of290 horsepower and 385 foot-pounds of torque.
The car drives and runs well. The original carburetor was exchanged for a Holley carburetor at sometime. But I do have the correct carburetor professionally rebuilt two months agoand ready to go if you desire to revert back to the original style carburetor. The brakes work well with new front calipers and recent master cylinder. The power steering also works well and does not leak. All the gauges workexcept forthe clock. One of the fronttires is worn a biton the inside, so itmust need a front endalignment. The exterior body hascouple of small rust spots that are shown in the pictures The floors and chassis are very nice with only some surface rust.
I only bought the car just last year and recently bought a 2016 Dodge Challenger, so something has to go. I drove the car today for about 10-15 miles and all was fine. So if you are in the market for a cool original muscle car investment, please consider this one.
I will add more to the description as the auction goes on as I am sure I have forgotten something. Thanks for looking!
I reserve the right to end the auction at any time.
