Low- mileage clean Carfax two-owner Cooper MC40S JCW 6 speed. I am the second owner, having owned this vehicle since 2007; it was my daily driver for three years, and subsequently was stored in winters and restricted to occasional pleasure use of less than 1,000 miles annually. Garage-kept through my ownership. This MC40 is 1 of 1000 made worldwide, of those 1000, only 100 have the dealer-installed John Cooper Works performance package. In 2008, I had a Mini dealer add the John Cooper Works Tuning Kit and Cross-Strut Brace, which were not available in 2004, as well as a high-flow air filter. Although I never had it dyno-tested, estimated horsepower falls between 215-220 The MINI Cooper S MC40 is a special edition model: Its equipment includes rally-style driving lights with chrome bezels, a chrome grille and rear boot handle, and a set of distinctive 17-inch, multi-spoke alloy wheels. The two front wheels were replaced with OEM MC 40 wheels for cosmetic reasons. A tasteful 'GB' insignia adorns the rear boot lid, paying tribute to the car's place-of-origin in Oxford, England.The standard equipment list also includes a sport package with Dynamic Stability Control (DSC), front and rear fog lights, on-board computer and Xenon headlamps with power wash. In the cabin, the dash panel is clad in genuine, lightweight carbon fiber and the seats wear striking red and black leather upholstery unique to this model. This vehicle has had minimal sun exposure, having been stored covered in a garage - thus, the leather upholstery is in excellent condition. A special gauge package is mounted in the center console and indicates voltage and oil temperature. The interior also features a thick leather wrapped, three-spoke sport wheel and all-weather rubber floor mats to protect the carpets from would-be rally drivers' shoes.To round out the unique features included in the MINI Cooper S MC40, there is a special numbered commemorative plate; this vehicle is #856. I do not have the magnetic door decals that originally came with the vehicle, but my understanding is those can be obtained aftermarket if desired. Custom car cover included. In addition to the normal cosmetic blemished and stone chips on the front fascia as expected on a vehicle of this age, there is a small dent and minor scatches on the hood that were present when I first purchased the vehicle; I have attempted to capture this via photo.
