Here is a Astro Black Metallic Mini John Cooper Works Hardtop. 49,075 miles. Six-speed manual transmission. Car is in Excellent condition. Interior has minimal signs of wear. Exterior has no obvious dents or scratches. Engine feels young and lively. Clutch feels good. Tires are nice, brakes- an all around beautiful car.
The standard Mini Cooper S is often mistakenly labeled as a 'John Cooper Works'. Just because you have a badge on the back does not mean it is a true JCW. This is an entirely different beast. Its Brakes, Engine, Transmission, Turb, Tuning and suspension are all upgraded by the factory. If you have ever driven a Cooper S, the John Coopers differences are apparent right away. A Turbocharged Four Cylinder engine with 208 Break Horsepower makes this little car move FAST. The six-speed manual transmission has the perfect gear ratios to pull out of tight corners. Its huge Brembo Brakes makes it stop as fast as it moves. Notable options include: Dual Sun-Roof, Harmon Kardon Premium Sound, Sport Seats, Bluetooth, CD/MP3, 'Bug' Lights, and beautiful 17in wheels with nice Bridgestone tires.
PROS: Car is in overall excellent condition. The engine is smooth, has tons of power and it has been fabulously maintained. This is apparent right when you drive it and or listen to it. There are no Leaks or squeaks. Everything is tight. No funny lights on. EVERYTHING WORKS. Alignment is great, clutch is firm and tight and shows no signs of slipping. The tires have about 70-80 percent tread left, and the brake pads appear to have plenty of life left in them. Undercarriage is clean, no big rust spots that are apparent with east coast cars. The car was recently serviced. The Spark Plugs, Oil, Filter, Coils, Antifreeze flush- all major service done within the past month. The body is clean, with no eye sore scratches or dents. Interior is clean and smells good inside.
CONS: This is a used car and shows signs of normal wear and tear. This car has been in an accident before and various panels have been repainted. Including the front and rear bumper and hood. While the Color match is spot on, The Hood has a little bit of orange peel towards the back. The passenger side door has a scratch on the lower side which I have touched up and is hardly noticeable unless you get on your knees and look for it. The front bumper has a scratch towards the top which I did when installing the black Grilles. The interior right (passenger) sun visor has a loose flap covering the 'beauty' mirror. The drivers front seat has a little movement on the lumbar support, but that has never bothered me while driving.
