2008 Mitsubishi Evolution GSR Description

Up for sale is my 2008 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X with 77,028 miles. I do not use this car as a daily driver but I do move it in and out of the garage regularly so the miles will go up just a little bit as time goes by. This car has a clean California title and I am the 2nd adult owner. I would be fine with providing any info so you can run a CARFAX on it to show its history.

I purchased this car roughly 2 years ago to have fun with on the weekends and do some track events as a hobby. It has been a great car to me and given me zero issues in any way shape or form. I did 6 smaller track events with this car and at times drove it on the street but beyond that it sat in my garage. I am selling it because I ended up purchasing another car and now I have too many to keep.

Car is paid off and I have the clear title in hand in my name. Car will be smogged before sale so the transfer of title is smooth.

The engine is 100% stock and is strong and runs excellent! The only aftermarket modifications done to the car are the following and I have proof of purchase:

Stock ECU and Stock tune with Stock boost system for reliability

AMS Widemouth Downpipe

Greddy Single Exit Turbo-back Exhaust

Injen Intake kit with Half Upper intercooler pipe CARB SMOG Legal

ACT Clutch put in 1000 miles ago or so with stainless steel clutch line

New Optima Red top battery

HKS Hypermax Coilover Suspension system

Hankook RS-3 Tires have about 40% left in 265 36 18

VOLK TE37 18x9 black wheels

JDP Engineering Rally front lip. Authentic

Professionally re-wrapped OEM steering wheel with centering mark in blue. Like new condition as I rarely used this car.

I want to be as honest and up front as possible about this car so please read below carefully so you are fully informed:

PROS:

Car has always been adult owned and thus was cared for in the proper manner.

Strong super healthy engine with excellent compression and zero oil consumption. Engine runs on AMSOIL Dominator motor oil and OEM filter and was changed very often. Engine is as quiet as a sewing machine.

The drivetrain was meticulously serviced with only the best synthetic oils. Always used AMSOIL fluids in transmission, transfer case and rear differential. No grinds in any gear on upshift or downshift and no whines from transfer case.

ACT clutch is basically brand new and has a resurfaced flywheel and new throwout bearing with their MONOLOC system.

Coilover suspension is solid and firm and makes no noises. Alignment was just performed and car handles and very well. I always used a street alignment so tire wear isn’t bad.

CONS:

For the most part the negatives related to this car are cosmetic nicks, scratches and such. The front bumper could use a refinishing along with the JDP lip being clear coated again. The carbon is perfect underneath. There are minor nicks on the hood and on skirts but nothing terrible. I encourage you to see it for yourself as the car truly is nice.

The car did at one point have a bolt in roll bar installed for safety so the carpet on the floor of the rear passenger foot wells has a cut in them. There is no carpet missing just an incision which is hardly noticeable and does not show with floor mats installed. The rear seatback, at the far edges has a small 3 inch portion of the inner foam removed to accommodate the rollbar legs that is no longer there. Fabric is untouched and undamaged but it is a little wavy. I’m sure some foam could easily be installed there and it would look like stock again. I can do this for you if you would like.

I did bolt in a small camera mount to the center of the dash that you can see in the pictures. If you want to buy the car and really want it removed, I can do that and have the dash professionally refinished and it would look like new again.

I have done my best to be as forthcoming as possible about the current condition of the car.
