1997 Mitsubishi Eclipse GST Hatchback 2-Door Description

We have a 1997 Mitsubishi Eclipse GS-T (5-speed turbo)
This car is mechanically sound and runs strong. The motor was rebuilt (because of the high mileage) and has approx 55,000 miles on the new engine.
Some of the features include:-Aftermarket Greddy blow-off valve-Upgraded head unit (Kenwood)-Innovate air/fuel ratio gauge-AEM boost controller-AEM fuel rail
Overall this car is untouched which is rare. To find an 2nd Gen Eclipse at all is rare these days.
The clear coat on the paint job is peeling, it is the FACTORY paint (P88 Cayenne Red Pearl Metallic)The dashboard is in GREAT condition! I've put in a swapped airbag that will be color-matched. I have the original too. A common issue with the Eclipse was the airbag cover peeling up due to the adhesive from the factory mixed with exposure to the sun over the years. The new airbag is in much better shape. You can see it is dark grey but will be black before shipped/picked upPassenger seat shows signs of wear but is in decent shape for a simple fix-up. The driver's side is in bad shape. Recommend swapping for a OEM seat or re-upholster it. Seat covers certainly do justice if you're on a budget build.
The previous owner put in the AEM racing fuel rail and bypassed the purge solenoid. It throws a check engine light because of this. Putting in the factory fuel rail (sourced ~$50) and un-bypassing the purge valve solenoid will fix the error code it throws. This is an emissions code.
I have a stack of receipts from the previous owner for various parts/gaskets that was done on the car.
Overall, VERY RARE car to find running or in good shape these days, mostly untouched. The GS-T and GSX models are premium because of the coveted 4G63 engine that comes factory in them.A great first car or one to upgrade for the track
