READ CAREFULLY: Two years ago this was a brand new car at a south Texas Nissan dealer whose lot partially flooded during a storm. The insurance company reimbursed the dealer for the entire inventory. This car was one of only a few that was not actually damaged, but because of that insurance payoff this car has a rebuilt title, as do all of the other cars in the dealer's inventory at the time. There is no evidence of water damage in the interior, the engine bay, undercarriage, or trunk. If it had electrical or other problems those would have surfaced within a short time of the sale to the original owner, whose name is on the Texas title you will receive. This car was not rebuilt or refurbished. It has been running and driving perfectly since it was new 2 years ago.
GUARANTEE OF CONDITION: You will be allowed 7 days after the auction to have the car checked out by a mechanic of your choice in Nashville, TN for verification of condition before final payment.
Modern automobiles are built to survive the extremes of weather. However, they can develop problems if actually submerged in water. Had this car actually sustained water submersion damage of any type the symptoms would have appeared quickly, typically in the first 15-30 days. Most of those potential symptoms involve wiring corrosion. Those symptoms could include:
1. Computer malfunction (i.e. not relaying accurate information to the dash panel)
2. Hard to start
3. Engine cut-out while driving
4. Sporadic lighting systems, possibly flashing off and on while driving
5. Dried mud or a water line in the spare wheel well of the trunk, or on the floor or side panels of the interior.
6. Evidence of mildew or mold on carpets, carpet padding, or other interior material, or a bad interior smell.
This car does not have, nor has it ever had, any of these symptoms. It is in far better condition than most two-year-old cars.
