Hello and thank you for looking at my auction. My name is Joe and I sell vehicles differently than most dealers. Buying your next car or truck through one of my NO RESERVE auctions is the best way to take the games out of your next automotive purchase. I personally road test each vehicle before it is offered for sale so I can give you my first hand opinion of how it runs and drives. Please keep in mind that I am not a mechanic. Each vehicle is represented accurately and honestly to the best of my knowledge and ability. Please take the time to read this entire description as well as our Terms & Conditions carefully BEFORE asking questions or placing a bid as most answers can be found in at least one of those places. An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction.
Up for a NO RESERVE auction is a 2004 Nissan Xterra XE 4x4 with just 158k miles. The Nissan Xterra is based off of the rugged and reliable Frontier trucks and has an excellent reputation as a very capable SUV. I would rate the exterior of this Xterra to be in ABOVE AVERAGE CONDITION for its age and mileage. As you can see, this is a good looking truck. It is finished in black over gray and looks great. The black finish has a mile deep shine and looks as smooth as glass. As with any older vehicle, please expect a few flaws and imperfections commensurate with age and mileage. On this specific Xterra, the only flaw worth noting is the dent visible in the lower portion of the left bumper. The body is remarkably clean. I didn't see any rust on the body, which is exceptional for one of these trucks. The body lines are nice and straight. The hood, doors and tail gate all open and close easily. All of the glass and lenses are intact. The factory alloy wheels show well and are wrapped in a nice set of rubber with average tread all around. Please take your time and check out each of the photos carefully to see how clean this Nissan looks inside and out.
I would rate the interior of this Xterra to be in AVERAGE CONDITION for its age and mileage. The door panels are clean and tight. The carpets show some wear but are acceptable for their age. The cloth seats are clean and comfortable throughout the interior. The headliner sags a little, which is pretty normal at this age. The power windows, locks and mirrors all work properly. Tha audio system has been upgraded with an aftermarket CD player, which appears to be working properly and sounds great. The climate control system also appears to be working properly. The heater keeps the interior warm on cool evenings and the air conditioner blows ICE COLD AIR, too. The cargo area is spacious and clean. Again, please take your time to check out each of the photos carefully to see how clean this Nissan looks.
Mechanically, this Xterra appears to be in good running and driving condition. The 3.3L V6 starts easily and runs smoothly. I didn't notice any leaks and the engine does not smoke. Her road manners are good for an older truck. The suspension feels tight and well sorted. Steering and braking feel good, too. The engine makes good power and feels strong. She keeps perfect temperature. During my road test, the check engine light came on. The code was P0406 (evap code...common simple code). There were no other idiot lights on. The automatic transmission engages smoothly and shifts properly with no issues. Out on the highway, she drives nice and straight with absolutely no complaints. The only thing I notice that you'll need is a new muffler (or minor exhaust repair) as the exhaust note is a little deeper than I think it should be...but it's not too loud. The 4WD system is tested and working properly. If you're looking for a clean 4x4 SUV that hasn't been all used up, this Xterra deserves your serious consideration. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding.
