I recommend that you watch National Geographic's Inside: Supercar ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=irjdE9uGQMQ ) television show that details the GT-R's design, features and cult-like following and then visit the official GT-R website ( http://www.gtrnissan.com ). GT-R marketing is amazing, but justified -- even the Wall Street Journal praised it ( http://online.wsj.com/article/SB122478486701563157.html ). New to the Switzer Ultimate Street Edition? - Read the Sales Brochure: http://www.switzerperformanceinnovation.com/jo_docs/use_brochure-PDF.pdf - Watch the /TUNED video review of the USE package: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BSfZt2ybmBk Condition: Excellent cosmetic and excellent functional condition. Car needs nothing. The car has never been smoked in or spilled in.Matching tires are >80% tread depth on all corners (8/32" fronts, 8/32" rears), have normal wear patterns and are nitrogen filled. The wheels are properly torqued, brake fluid fresh and clear.Zero rust anywhere. The battery is constantly refreshed with a Battery Tender to ensure the battery is always perfect. The car is stored in a heated/air conditioned garage. When raising the car, a Reverse Logic R35JPT jack pad tool was used to avoid scraping / damaging the underside of the chassis.Upon the buyer's request, I can arrange a precautionary oil change prior to pickup/delivery. Warranties: I've understood that there are separate, part-specific (i.e. dashboard) extended warranties under Nissan. Otherwise, this GT-R was under both original factory warranty and Switzer's warranty when the prior owner sold it, so had anything been wrong, it would have been fixed for free. Imperfections: - A few water spots -- mineral deposits from being washed.
- There are minor scratches, abrasions and rock chips typical of a sports car, but they are insignificant. Fluorescent lights show EVERYTHING, yet this car looks nearly new in all regards, but it is not flawless.
- Gearbox whines/rattles like many other highly-modified transmissions, but can be unnerving to those unfamiliar, especially at slow speeds.
Liens or other claims: None. The car is free of any liens, taxes or other claims. Clean title, ready for transfer. Closing thoughts: Switzer's "Ultimate Street Edition" Nissan GT-R is a legend in the making that brings new meaning to the words "stealth" and "sleeper". Every upgrade was well designed and implemented to make this GT-R the most capable, smoothest riding supercar on the planet. This lightly used example is your opportunity to save $50k off a new Switzer U.S.E. and avoid months of waiting! It has been driven ~2000miles since the conversion. I am selling the car on behalf of a private collector. I am a high-performance driving school (HPDS) instructor and I fell in love with the GT-R after instructing a student, who brought one to Virginia International Raceway.I have owned (2) GT-R's, one "bone stock" and one "full race", as well as sports cars spans various vintages and marques, some being track-only and others are purely street -- this GT-R would be a perfect tool for either or both. This GT-R has apparently never seen a track, but has been "exercised" a few times. It exhibits power and agility combined with surprising grace and around-town civility. This GT-R shifts hard, brakes hard (sometimes squeals, just as the upgraded brakes do when new) and its turn-in is telepathic, yet exhibits near-perfect manners when desired -- it is far more drivable than an Alpha 12 I've driven, but be prepared to drive with a light touch. Please note that the car does not have catalytic converters and is louder than stock -- consider your inspection rules & gendarme. I welcome questions and in-personal inspections. You must be able to demonstrate financial means to purchase the car prior to test driving it.I am also willing to submit the car to a PPI at a location of your choice. The car hit a bush during a prior owner's off-road excursion, but was repaired like new -- both labor and materials (e.g. front bumper) were completed under full collision insurance and performed well enough that a PPI may not even discover this. There is no chassis damage and it tracks perfectly. I have done my best to represent the car accurately and minimize your risk through transparency -- please bid with confidence. Comparative Pricing: Forget NADA or Kelley Blue Book. There are about $120,000 in modifications to this GT-R, beyond the original cost of the car itself. The only real comparison is other Switzer Ultimate Street Edition GT-Rs and similarly-fashioned AMS Alpha and Boost Logic GT-Rs, such as the following: - $179,000 -- Switzer USE GT-R based on 2012 chassis, 12k miles -- eBay item #322190293608
- $175,000 -- AMS Alpha 12 GT-R based on 2014 chassis, 2k miles -- Careful: stock brakes break! -- eBay item #162102934922
- $149,999 -- Boost Logic 1300 based on 2013 chassis, 12k miles -- Needs rare E85 fuel for similar power! -- eBay item #282064743056
As such, the price is reasonable for a car in such exceptional condition that needs absolutely nothing;it is the best of the best for street. |
- For rates, please see "Shipping and Payments" section, located at the top of the page, just below the auction bid price. Please inquire to work out the details, but in essence, there are four options: - Free Pickup. Winning bidder is welcome to pickup in person or arrange residential pickup for free.
- Free local delivery of the vehicle is possible within the greater Richmond area (approx. 25mile radius which includes the RIC Amtrak station, RIC airport and most commercial vehicle transport pickup parking lots).
- Regional, couriered delivery of the vehicle may be possible within 500miles of vehicle location (preferably to an airport, bus terminal, or train station near you). This requires your insurance, registration, and license plates. It also requires your written permission to drive the vehicle to you, for you, and prepayment of a Regional Conveyance Fee equal to $199 + $1/mile one-way.
- 48-state flat-fee delivery of the vehicle to a trucking depot within any of the 100 largest cities in the 48-state U.S. via an enclosed, insured and bonded transporter. We'll find a carrier and transport the car to you for a flat $2000 in an enclosed transport.
Both of the last two options require full payment ($0 balance) in advance. |
