I've had the car since spring 2012, so about 4.5 years
Has been great, unlike the 2002-2008 Maxima's these automatictransmissions are very strong. Shifts well, in great working order.
I've recently had new high quality brake pads and rotors installed in the front and new pads and rotors in the back. Put in a new starter, new alternator, new battery. Front ball joints and tie rods as well.
It needs an exhaust, about $150-$160 shipped new on EBAY or cheaper if you can find one at a salvage yard or from someone parting a V6 Altima out. (More specifically, mainly the "engine pipe" part which is where the exhaust starts from the engine.)
Trunk Lock Mechanism, $40-$50 on EBAY
Drivers Door Outside Door Handle (It Opens, but part of the part you pull broke off)$20-$30 on EBAY
Both Side View Mirror Plastic Cosmetic Back Of The Mirror Shell CoversAround $20 Each On EBAY
Left Rear Tail Light, Bottom Part, Piece of The Lens Cover Broken, Light Fully Operational
The Front Right Fender holes were a result of a Do It Yourself paint repair attempt. The holes were made to pull out the dent which was successful. Holes need to be filled with bondo and fender re-sprayed to finish it.
A lot of various wear and tear on the body, few dents, scratches, etc. SRS Light on, no other warning lights on. Due to it needing exhaust its extremely loud, driveable in terms of bringing it home if you're local but not practical otherwise only due to the excessive noise.
Rebuilt Title, doesn't need any kind of further inspection in any state as far as I know and no different than owning a car with a clean title. Just a standard state inspection.
The car has served me extremely well, very happy with it, wouldn't be selling it if I wasn't starting UBER and getting a newer Tahoe. It's faster than a lot of sports cars and the sound system sounds better than many newer cars. The V6 Engine is strong and reliable unlike the 2.5 model which is known to be faulty.
Located in Brooklyn, NY, about 15-20 minutes from JFK airport.
