1994 Nissan 300ZX Convertible Black with Grey Interior 1 Owner Smoke Free Car
1994 Nissan 300ZX Description
Please only bid on this car if you have the means to complete the transaction.
For sale is a one owner 1994 Nissan 300ZX Convertible in desirable black exterior with a gray leather and pigskin interior with the original top.
The car has the usual array of dings and other blemishes and a some chips and damaged paint. I will do my best to specify the problems.
The car was delivered in March of 2014 with 168 miles on the odometer as it was driven up from NJ to Southern MA. At 3,002 miles the car had its first oil change using synthetic oil and it has been using synthetic ever since.
This car was driven in rainy and snowy weather for the first 6 years of ownership (79K mis. +/-), but was always garaged. The car has only been in a drive through car wash a couple of times, so the original top has seen very little soap and is in pretty good condition. The plastic windows have never seen Windex, so there is zero yellowing from ammonia. The inside roof hem is starting to come unglued, so that should be addressed.
The car has been very reliable from a drive train standpoint. Just oil, belts, batteries, and plugs for the most part. A new oil pan was also installed, but I can't find the invoice. Brakes have been serviced and replaced, as needed. Alignments performed periodically. Still has original clutch and struts. Check engine light has never come on.
In 1994 or 1995, with low mileage on the car, it was backed into by an SUV with a tailgate-mounted spare tire. A large dent was created above the rear passenger-side wheel. The dent was pulled and filled, but the panel was never cut. Better technology exists today, so this could be re-addressed.
In 1996, a new valve control and element assembly was installed.
In 1997, a new PCV valve was installed as well as a new trunk latch actuator.
In 1998, a nail in the tire was removed, but the service person cracked a rim while patching the tire. It was TEG welded and was in use until 1999 when new Borbet rims were installed. The original rims will be sold with the car as well as the Borbets that are still on it.
In 1999, at 64K miles, a new power steering unit was installed and a new windshield was installed (mileage unsure).
In 2000, at 74K miles, the passenger door window motor was replaced. And at 80K miles, a new Borla stainless steel cat-back exhaust was installed. This is the same brand that are on A/C Cobras. It cost around $900 plus installation.
In 2001, a Steve Millen (Stillen) air induction system was installed. It has a polished aluminum bezel with a K&N air filter. I will give you the cleaning kit as well as the stock intake parts.
In 2006, at 89K miles, the timing belt and water pump were installed and all hoses and belts were replaced.
In 2010, at 98K miles, front and rear strut braces were installed. The car stays relatively flat when cornering now.
In 2011, at 100K miles, new Continental tires were installed.
In 2014, at 103K miles, some body work was done in front of the rear wheels on the rocker panels. Rust was cut out and new metal was installed and painted to match.
The car was backed into at one point and the front bumper fascia is spider-webbed. The driver's side rocker has a gouge out of it (see pic). Aluminum hood was vandalized and has a gouge (see pic). There is a large scrape on driver's side front fender. It has been filled in with touch up.The tonneau lid's paint is marred from the roof vibrating on it.Also, the tonneau panel for the roof has finger cups that are cracked and broken. These have been replaced on 2 other occasions, it is a problem on these cars. All of the locks can't be accessed by key as they were never used and are frozen. The locks still work, but only with the key fob. Driver's seat is worn. Steering wheel is worn at 12:00. Shift boot has been replaced. Steering rack is leaking; Lucas power steering repair fluid has been added to reservoir. I do not know if the engine has any leaks.
Included in this sale are the original rims (unmounted), a custom-fit car cover from Griot's Garage (has a small rip from front license plate), all paperwork, original air intake system and various parts, K&N cleaning kit, a CD-ROM Service Manual, and an Actron Code Scanner.
