1990 Nissan 300ZX Description

1990 Nissan 300ZX Twin Turbo Automatic
This is a perfect opportunity for someone who would like a great reliable twin turbo 300zx. I bought this car with the aspirations of fixing it up to get it back on the road as a great driver for someone to enjoy. I value these cars and most people will tell you that low mileage isn't as important as well maintained. Low mileage is great, I am not justifying the higher mileage of this Z but as with most 300ZXs you see online likely require up to a couple thousand dollars just to get all the little bugs worked out as well as required maintenance. This previous summer I pulled the engine out and replaced every gasket and seal, timing belt, water pump, timing idlers, hardened studs, new wiring harness, all of the turbo water lines have been rerouted and replaced with high performance gates hoses. I also replaced the passengers side turbo with a newer low mileage one off a JDM motor. I would confidently drive this car anywhere. If you've got a significant other who has been wanting to get into the Z scene or you have been wanting to get them into the Z car family but they don't want a 5 speed this is a great opportunity for you. I have never driven an automatic twin turbo before owning this car and its really an enjoyable experience as a cruiser and just all around daily driven car Performance mods are relatively simple and would be considered around stage 3 or 4. Its got a Jim Wolf Technologies pop charger, NSX manual boost controller set at 12psi, split downpipes, and a full turbo back exhaust with no cats. All of the unnecessary extra stuff is deleted AIV, EGR, PRVR, carbon canister, factory boost solenoids. I have listed every single item done to it since owning it. The car isn't perfect but none of them are, the longer I spend with the car the more I pick it apart. It needs someone who will love the Z legacy as much as I do. Here is the list of everything I can remember doing to the car.

*black interior
*cloth seats in good to excellent condition. 1 small tear in drivers seat bolster none in passengers.
*factory stereo is installed but not operational car is wired for an aftermarket stereo, amp and sub (i pulled the stereo out and the previous owner ran all new speaker wires so I couldn't reinstall the stock one)
*repainted new urethane front bumper
*factory twin turbo Z32 wheels painted black
*tires have less than 1000 miles on them
What the car needs to be perfect...
*there is a small dent on the rear quarter above where the rear bumper cover attaches to the unibody could possibly be PDRd out by a good body guy
*aftermarket stereo needs to be installed, already wired up.
*the tint is in OK shape, but showing age.
*battery cowl cover a previous owner trimmed for some reason but its still intact
*a socketed ECU and an electronic boost controller to turn the boost up to 15psi to run 13 second quarter miles.
*subframe spacers and some adjustable suspension to lower the car down. This is the only Z I have that rides factory height and its weird to me
*adjustable tension rods or stock ones with urethane bushings the front passenger side is showing signs of wear under HARD braking there is a slight shimmy
*remove hicas system.
*AC system needs charged, It was pressurized and I disconnected it to run the ECU harness through the firewall. I got a local quote of $280 for a full R12 charge
but since we are coming up on winter I didn't want to spend the money on it now.
*when I put the stainless steel gauge trim rings I accidentally speared myself in the finger with the gas needle and moved it up a quarter notch and it makes it easier
to base your remaining fuel level by mileage instead of the needle I tried to move it back but dont think its as accurate as it could be.
*with any turbo car they tend to smoke a little bit at startup. This car doesn't smoke very much just a little at startup, I have removed all 4 cats from the car so it is very unlikely to pass a smog inspection if your state requires one.
There really isn't anything that this car critically needs besides an owner who wants to drive and enjoy it, I feel that I saved this car from rotting out on the side of the road in disrepair and am excited to see it go to a great home. If there are any questions on the car please email me. Ive also got many pictures of the engine being disassembled and new timing belt installed if desired.
