This car just had nearly $9,000 spent in extensive maintenance beginning in December, 2015 and concluding in February, 2016. This Oldsmobile is originally out of California. The mileage of 47,016 is original to the car according to the owner's knowledge and we certainly believe it. This car is just an incredible survivor type example that has had minimum restoration work done as needed over the years. Be sure to play our video below and we hope you enjoy our presentation. We shoot many of our photographs at the museum. This big block powered USA born & raised Toronado is a perfect compliment to the classic American aircraft of the Flight Museum. The Oldsmobile Toronado would be the first front wheel drive full-sized American car since the Cord of the 1930s. The exterior showcases an older professional refinish in the original Cameo white color. The paint and body has been polished and detailed. The body panels align correctly. The bumper chrome is in good condition front to back. The original Soft-Ray tinted glass is in great shape throughout and intact, down to the windshield. Optional in 1969 was the vinyl roof, without it the clean, uncluttered lines of the '68-9 Toronado body are on full display. The dual exhaust system sounds great. This car recently had quite a bit of work performed, including exhaust work. 1969 would bring a minor restyling. The tail end was lengthened to help give the car a better styling proportion front to back. The honeycomb styled alloy wheels wear 215/75R15 Michelin tires on all 4 corners. The grille assemblies and trim shows well throughout this Toronado. Under the hood is the stout factory 455 cubic inch V8. This powerplant was rated at375 horsepower and is very similar to the 442 Oldsmobile powerplant. The engine compartment displays a quality professional detail with rubber components replaced as needed. A recent comprehensive tune-up was performed as well, with receipts. This Toronado features air conditioning, power steering, and power brakes. The original trim identification plate is intact and legible. The trunk is in excellent condition, detailed and complete with the factory jacking equipment (bumper jack) and spare tire/wheel. The door panels are in excellent condition, left and right.
The original bench seat upholstery has a full seat cover. There are a few cracks in the original vinyl. The back seat is in excellent condition. These seats are believed original. This car is really a trip back to 1969. The interior is in very good condition. The steering wheel has been tastefully updated with a later Oldsmobile steering wheel. A cluster of gauges monitors the water temp, voltage and oil pressure. There is also a Sun Super Tach II mounted next to the gauge trio. The dash is in excellent condition underneath the carpeted protective cover. There are more photos of it in theslideshow at the bottom of the ad. The factory rubber Oldsmobile floor mat is in excellent condition. The carpeting also shows well. The headliner is clean and detailed, in great shape. The optional shoulder belts are also intact and are the visors. Again, the flooring, frame and underbody appears to be overall very solid throughout.
