1972 Oldsmobile Cutlass 455 Rocket Convertible Description

This car was just removed from a garage in California, it has been sealed for 30 years, since 1986! this car has not moved from the garage, they actually built a wall, no door! I have the California pink slip from 1986, there may be fee's due @ DMV in California if going back there. If you been looking for one to do? This would be it! I can not imagine finding a better one for this price.............@ any price
OK! It starts, runs and sounds remarkable like New amazing!! Today 11/1/2016, the price is going up, Sorry! it is what it is, this is a 40K car with investing maybe 10K and less if you have the skills but I ain't going to give it away, easily! a 20k car the way it sits !!!!
This is a unmolested factory #'s matching Big Block 455, a/c, power top, p/s, p/b, pw, pl and Dual exhaust Southern California Car with zero rust anywhere. power top works excellent and engine runs like the day it ran off the Michigan assembly line. It had a homeish looking paint job done @ time of it's incarceration but protected it very nicely and would make a great base for a show quality paint job with very minimal effort, there is one small spot on rear quarter with bondo over dent other than that appears to be bondo free!!! the interior needs to be redone but is not terrible foam/frames excellent and vinyl is still good a few small blemishes, it needs a new top. Fluids all look perfect It has had the same tires on it for 30+ years and not even cracked, the Dash is perfect! not a crack in it and the windshield still looks new, she does need carpet and missing a rear panel inside and front bumper is missing!! so no front bumper also radio and front kick panel are not included because they did not come with it, door handles and most hardware are accounted for but it is missing odds and ends, year one has it all I am sure! with very little effort and money this can easily be 35/40K car with no problem.
Doing my do diligence on this and This is #'s matching 396021 block with Ga heads that were for W-30 and manual 442's so this got some options, a pretty special ride right here! optioned almost to the max, # matching transmission also. the carburetor is coming up as a 1973 Olds 455 so unknown if it is original This would make for a very correct looking W-30 442 with metal red inner fender wells and and a scooped hood this would easily fetch well into high $40's even low $50's with correct resto and you will save a small fortune on body and paint, the best garage find I've seen personally.
928 530 2276 Dan any questions......I believe! I am going light even @ $17,500 on this particular car! so tomorrow the starting bid will be going up $500 a day until there is a bid, no hard feelings! This is for sale locally also, Craigslist and such so it could be gone when you decide to pull the trigger! OK! I just sold a boat, now there a little pocket cash to take this to the next level. If this don't sell this time around chances are, when you do see it again? it will be 20/25K more than it is right now! I might even keep this one for a couple minutes? ya never know! what I do know is this is one hell of a car and if you been looking for one to finish and drive this would be the find of a lifetime! I actually been looking real hard @ this car and a concourse restoration would be about 20K on this car, that is how nice it truly is!
