1966 Oldsmobile Toronado Deluxe Description

I've owned this 1966 Olds Toronado for over 9 years and have put fewer than 1,000 miles on it each year I've owned it.The odometer reads 24,545, but I have no verification if this is accurate. The car originated in Illinois, but miraculously survived rusting away and was parked for years before being rescued by the previous owner. For the past decade it has been in Texas and North Carolina.
This car would qualify as a perfectly good driver that gets tons of attention whenever it's in public. I've never stopped for gas without someone paying the Toronado a compliment.
The car is almosttotallyoriginal with the exception of being repainted its original Royal Mist color by the previous owner. The paint looks okay, but could use astrong polishing. The interior is amatching dark blue color with vinyl/cloth seats. The exterior has very little in the way of rust, mostly on the trunk lid. Nothing that couldn't easily be fixed.
The chrome on the bumpers is not great, but good, particularly the front.
The front windshield is original, but developed a line crack over the years. The rearwindshield is fine.
The doors open and close well.
The interior is complete and in pretty good shape with a good dashboard. The front driver seat has a split in the vinyl on the upper left side. The passenger cloth is fraying a bit on the right seat corner. The rear carpet is in good shape, but thefront carpet is fairly worn. The headliner is in bad shape, but I'll include a replacementheadliner with the car.
The 425 motor is verystrong and the 3-speed automatic transmission is smooth.
The popup headlights work properly and the tires still have a good deal of tread; the full-size spare with matching wheel is in the trunk. The glovebox trunk release also works.
The mufflers and tail pipes are rusted and need replacing. Theunderside of the car shows no major rust problems however.
I don't have a 1966 owner's manual, but I will include a 1967 one, since it's basically the exact same car.
This Toronado includes a/c, but it needs a charge. I will throw in a can of R-12 for free.
The power bench seat and power windows all work.
The cruise control and clock do not work.
Originally had AM radio, but now has AM/FM/CD player under the dash.
