1977 Oldsmobile Toronado XS Description
1977 Oldsmobile Toronado XS. The XS was a special limited edition Toronado, one of about 1,600 that were built in 1977 and 1978. These were reconfigured with the wrap around rear window and power moor roof by American Sunroof Company (ASC) in Michigan. How many can be left in triple black?
New in the last three years: Tires, brakes, timing chain, radiator, and water pump. New in the last two years: NOS clock, new modern stereo specially designed to look and fit as original, even using the original dials. It has power cords for charging phones, and connecting to Pandora or I-tunes. New speakers, and new power antenna. New in the last six months: Complete dual exhaust system, including the catalytic converter, and a left side axle assembly. In August, the air conditioning system was serviced by a professional, who installed new seals, and a desicant kit. It is now blowing ice cold R-12. The heat and defrost are also working. The only thing not working is the cruise control. This car can be driven in comfort anywhere you wish.
This a great driving car that can be enjoyed as is, or rolling restored. The body is straight, with some small rust spots, andit reallyneeds a rear bumper.
No Reserve this time. Someone is going to get a greatcar. I hate to see it go.
