1968 OLDSMOBILE 442 NUMBERS MATCHING, FULLY RESTORED ORIGINAL

An Original 1968 Oldsmobile 442 - this is NOT a clone. This is a rarecollectible 442 that is loaded with a TON of Factory Options. Everything works, ok the clock is not working!!! Drives like a dream down the road, very smooth ride, drives like a bigger car. Very powerful with the Numbers Matching 400 v8 with 4bbl.The 3 speed Numbers Matching transmission shifts smoothly and powerfully through the gears.
In 1968, the 400 cid motor used the 455 crank stroke with provides a very torque oriented motor. Peak torque arrived at 3,000 rpm. The horsepower was rated at 325.
The body is laser straight, no dents or dings. The paint and body overall is about an 8.5 out of 10. Vinyl top is in excellent condition. No paint or body work required.
The interior looks like it came off of the showroom floor, near perfect condition. The front and rear seats, carpet, door panels and headliner are all in near mint condition. No stains, rips, cuts etc,pristine condition! The seat belts - front and rear - and front shoulderharnesses are present and also in near mint condition.
The trunk still has the original 14" bias ply tire with the bumper jack and tire cover. Not sure I would use either!!!
The car currently has 15" BF Goodrich Raised White Lettered radials with Olds rally wheels.
It would be very hard to find one as nice as this one, fully restored, highly optioned, numbers matching, TRUE Factory Original 442, NOT a tribute or clone.A true classic Muscle Car that will do nothing but go up in value!
The car was sold new in Tennessee, I have a copy of the original Dealership Bill of Sale.
The engine stamping number is 38M288860 and the stamping on the transmission also reads 38M288860!
The VIN number is 344878mnnnnnn The "3" stands for Oldsmobile the "44" is for 442 the "87" 2dr coupe and the "8" is for the year and the "M" is the Plant Code for Lansing MI.
