Sharp Olds 98 All Black sedan

1979 Oldsmobile Ninety-Eight 98 Regency Description

I'm selling this for the owner. 1979 Olds 98Regency 4 door sedan. All Black, cloth interior with a new headliner.
This car started life as a diesel, thankfully somebody had the good sense to swap it with a 350 olds engine, we have areceiptshowing it was done in 1985. those late 70's diesels werepretty bad.
I've driven this for a couple of weeks and it really is a very nice driver, you get lots of looks and folks wanting to talk to you about it. it really is a very pretty car, a very rust free example of a late 70's cruiser.
Some of the things we've had done, newwindshield, new headliner, new heater control valve, new heater core, $1100 spent on A/C and parking brake, new spark plugs, distributor cap and rotor and a fresh oil change.
The tires are like new and it has a current Texassafety inspection.
now the bad, the cruisecontroldoes not work, thedome lightsdon't work, the power door locks don't work but they do all lock manually. The drivers side of the power seat works forwards and backwards but does not tilt the passenger side seems to work fine. The A/C, despite the amount we spent on it is not working now but it did at one time. The new compressorcomes on and does not make any funny noises, but the freon most likely has leaked off. Again in spite of good money spent to fix this, the left turn signal has to be held down to work but the right one works as it should. The power antenna does notgo up but the am/fm seems to work fine,I'm not sure about the cb part,it lights up and i can hear static but have not heard anybody talking. There is however a very real possibility that I just don't know how to use it. The odometer reads 17,000 miles, i know enough about cars to know that this is notaccurate and due to the fact that we had to work on the speedometer someI'm going to say flat out wedon't know what the actual milage is but itwould be at least 117,000.
The paint is showing its age a little but isoriginal and presents well for a driver class car. this is a very rust free car, in the videoI've tried to show all thetypical rust spots specifically to show just how rust free it is. Doors and door jambs, fender wells, trim areas around front and rear windshields etc are all clean. The vinyl top is also in amazing shape. This car also has the electric sun roof which is arare feature.
The Owner bought this car out ofCalifornia as an addition to his collection andwe've had some fun driving it and fixing it up but its time to move it on for someone else to enjoy and to make room for the next one.
