1965 morris minor 2 dr saloon museum quality Description
this beautiful unrestored Morris Minor is a true survivor, it has 11k original documented miles as a right hand drive that was owned by Mrs Shaw of Derbyshire England purchased new on april 12,1966. This car was always garaged and kept in heated garage. In 1980 this car was purchased and put in the Roy Shaw private MUSEUM OF BYGONES IN SOUTH WINFIELD England until 1994 when it was sold to John Henley and imported in to the United States and put in the RICH FARMS MUSEUM Sugar Grove Illinois where it resided until I purchased it on May 2015. The Morris Minor was the most successful british car producing over 1.6 million world wide. over 230,000 were sold through out the United States as convertible, traveler(Woody), commercial delivery vans, 2 and 4 door saloons.
This car has the original paint, interior, engine, undercoating. All windows and chrome work, fender webbing, done trim, head liner etc as new as the car came from the factory.
The pa, steel cross member, jack supports are without any rust.
I have done maintenance items on this car such as brakes rebuilt with new shoe and lines, new tires on the existing wheels and I have the original tires that hold air and still look great with lots of thread but small surface cracks. I did put new factory spec carpets in the car due too fading of the old carpets. Leather seats look new and I put new webbing and foam to bring back to new feel of the seats.
The car comes with the original tool set, crank and jack, and even the owners maps and atlas from england.Interesting situation with this car thelast museum has a policy of carrying spars for their cars so I have boxes of spare parts original that will go with this carthat needs nothing as a beautiful survivor.
The engine his a 1098cc with the factory high performance head bringing the horsepower ro 48. shifts smooth, I cruise it between 45-55 mph and she wants to go faster.
I have taken it to two car shows and at all british shows it was reserve champ and at open show was show winner among american and foreign cars.
come look at this beauty and bring your rubber magnet to verify no bon, mechanic and british expert to verify this car is mechanically sound Gem.
