This is a 1940 International Harvester Pickup. I believe it is considered a 3/4 ton because of the heavier wheels and longer bed. The bed measures 8' 6" long. It has a metal floor, in really good shape. This is a unique truck. They very seldom come around in this good of condition. I found no rusted holes in this truck. On the left rear fender, there is a hole showing and it is caused from the brace going from the fender to the frame, and it broke off the frame first and flopped up and down until it finally broke a hole in the side of the fender. That's why in that same area it caused cracks in the metal. All these things can be fixed easily. There are a few dents in the truck, but nothing really serious. The lower section of the grille has a little damage. I think with a little patience, it can be repaired. The doors shut good. The window regulators work, but the door glass on the driver's side is broke out. Everything on the motor is there except the starter. I tried to find one, but no one seemed to know what I was talking about.
This truck could be made several ways. Either make it all original, or some guys told me to put a 4WD system under it or street it out with a suitable small block engine. Either way you go, this truck just stands out by itself. I hope someone gets it that really appreciates the quality of the workmanship that went in to these old trucks.
