Everyone who follows my listings here on eBay know that I like the strange, rare and unusual. When I first laid eyes on this archaic, monstrosity of a motorcar, the first thing that came into my mind was "How much money is in my bank account and how much do I have in Paypal? I was prepared to go to extraordinary lengths to purchase this Turn of the Century big-boned Speedsterbecause practically everyone that catches a glimpse of this dynamic machine, will curiously "cozy up" to investigate, as it is literally dripping in glorious age related stress and wear, and saturated in unquestionable, authentic Picasso-ish patina, "103 YEARS OF IT" and it looks like this tough "ole girl" has never had an aesthetic upgrade in more than a century, LITERALLY!!
The story behind this beautiful, hulking 1913 White Speedster that I affectionately call"MAD MAXTHUSELAH"is that it originated out of a Virginia coal mine where it was used to haul coal cars. Everything on the Speedster is original and period correct except the gas tank, besides who would want their automobile's fuel pump siphoning gasoline from a 103 year old gas tank anyway? Also updated are the massive 30" tires (brand new $2200), recored radiator so the beast runs cool on hot summer days and a modern carburetor and electronic fuel pump to keep the beast's piston's cylinders saturated in fuel and running very smooth as she drinks heavily, as one might imagine.
This beautiful, eye catching Speedster starts easily with the hand crank and was driven heavily over New England's roads last summer and toured continuously without incident and can be used even today for touring, shows and vintage road rallies. If this White Speedster isn't the oldest car at the rally or show, it'll certainly look like it is! Maine is a no title state (how come all 50 states can't be no title states) and if you want to apply for a title all you have to do is take the BILL OF SALE that I will provide and present it to your DMV and fill out some documents which is more laborious than it is expensive (usually around $100 and 4-5 weeks to procure) and this will be your new grocery getter.
I again want to stress the desirability and scarcity of a 103 year old reliably running Brass Era Speedster that has NEVER been molested, restored or "freshened up"(I'm getting bored with bright & shiny, old cars). Thisnearly 100% original, century old Speedster displays "as found" in a Virginia coal mine some decades ago (lather and massageWD-40 on the steel body of this "Milf" (Machine I'd like to friggin drive) and the meaning of "patina" will necessarily be re-defined as she'll glow NATURALLY like the Grand Canyon at sunset.
One hundred year old drivable Speedsters can only be original as found ONCE, as this is a whole lot of irreplaceable, antiquated automobile equity for the price of a common Model T!! Dare to be different! L E T T H E "M A D N E S S" B E G I N!!
