1960 Austin Healey Sprite Description
Car was completely disassembled and all rust or damage issues were addressed prior to its rebuild in 2012. Paint and interior colors match the British Heritage certificate. Engine (948 with .020 over pistons) and transmission (smooth case) are both original to this car. Engine number matches build certificate. Other items also match build certificate: Black top and tonneau, heater, windshield washer, front bumper. Aluminum-framed side curtains are newly rebuilt with polished frames, new plexiglass, new rubber.
This 1960 Austin-Healey "Bugeye" Sprite earned a concourse award in 2013 (judging results available on request). It has since been fitted with: painted wire wheels, disc front brakes, K&N air filter and a few other tidbits.
All original removed items are included with the sale including:: five vented disc wheels with Dunlop Gold Seal 5.20-13 tyres, original oil bath air cleaners, front drum brakes and correct spindle and kingpin assy's. Also included are period-correct Amco bumper accessory bars (front one is mounted, rear one is loose - see fotos.)
