1970 MG MGB Roadster Sport GT MG MGB MGA Midget Description

*** NO RESERVE *** ...... AN OPENING BID CAN WIN !!!
For sale is a 1970 MG MBG Split Bumper Convertible. I am listing this for the estate of some close family friends. The vehicle belonged to their father. He bought the car 29 years ago in 1987. Throughout those years he drove it on a regular basis & personally maintained the car himself. He was an avid car lover & had several other vehicles in which he spent countless hours tinkering with & restoring. I was informed by the family that this particular vehicle was last started & driven 2 years ago. It was at that time in which he had encountered difficulty getting it STARTED... His son specifically recalls giving the car a rolling start down the hill while his father sat inside & popped the clutch. He went on to say that it immediately fired and came to life without any further issues. It was at that time in which they both came to the conclusion that they believed the starter just simply needed to be rebuilt. As a direct result the car was parked in the garage upon returning home where it has remained since... AGAI, I want to reinforce the fact that the car DID RUN JUST FINE... the problem was isolated to diffuculty getting it started ONLY. The car appears to be 99% complete. The ONLY thing I could come across is that the vinyl fabric for the convetible top is abscent along with one headlight bezel & the original radio. The odometer currently shows ONLY 70,000 original miles. This is believed to be true & accurate.
Outside of the couple requirements I have mentione, I personally am unaware of ANYTHING else needed to be done before jumping right in & cruising down the road !!! --- Since the car needs MINOR attention before it can be "driven"... I am unfortunately FORCED to sell it AS-IS & / OR for parts-or-repair. At this time we have not yet been able to locate the title for this vehichle. It is being sold on a "bill of sale" ONLY. The family has requested a payment of EITHER cash upon pick up or a bank-to-bank wire transfer after sale.
