1970 International Harvester 1100D Description

For sale is my dad's 1970 International Harvester 1100D pickup. Original 345 V8, 4 speed manual, 2wd. We fired it up and drove it a few days ago and something got warm behind the gauges and the running lights stuck on. So you can try and find where the wire is shorting out and fix it to get it back to normal. Once the wiring quirk is fixed it could be driven. It had a few issues suspension wise, it clunks sometimes in the front, havent looked into it so no promises. But it still runs and drives. Engine is strong and doesn't leak. Trans works good. I don't think many of the gauges work anymore. At least not fuel and speedo. Hood has a crease in it and the passenger door a dent from a tree rolling down a hill into it. No major rust except inside the doors, the window regulators rusted away so the windows are held up by wood but there are multiple sets of regulators at u-pulls in the area. They don't make them like they used to. Anyways it's an old truck and has quirks, don't expect perfection. Would like it to go to a good home who can fix it up. It's been in the family since 1979.
