1961 Austin Healey 3000 MKI BN7 Two Seater; the MK1 is the original 3000 built from March 1959 to March 1961. The BN7 has two SU HD6 carburetors mated to the 2912CC motor with a 4 speed manual transmission with overdrive.
It appears that this 1961 Austin Healey is an original paint car as well as many of the interior components although the seats have been recovered. The 50,941 miles and engine are said to be original to the car although we do not have a Heritage Certificate. When looking into the engine bay you will find it to be very original as well as other areas throughout the car.
This Austin Healey is a very unique example of a very original car with original paint. Some minor rust on the rear dog legs, some dings and dents and of course with the original paint some spots of the original primer showing through. Not many original cars left most have been pulled apart and restored.
They are only original once!
