This is a very rare opportunity to own something truly unique.
This is a replica of an 1893 Duryea.
Any Duryea automobiles you'll ever see for sale are replicas. 13 original cars were manufactured, and by 1925, only one example remained, which was bought by the Smithsonian Museum. They have the only surviving original. Google the history of the company, they have a very interesting story.
This is a perfect example of the original. It was fully restored in 1995, and it's in perfect working order right now.
We put it in car shows, parades, etc., and it's a real head turner. It's been in print advertisements, several movies, and it's been rented out to wedding photographers, high school proms and other events, so this car not only works, but it's also an income producer.
You're more than welcome to come and check out the car in person before you buy it. It's located about 90 miles east of Atlanta, GA.
I've found almost no information online about recent sales of similar cars. The last time I've seen one of these 1893 Duryea's come up for sale was at a Sotheby's auction in 2007, and that car fetched over $53,000.
