You are viewing the last true Packard ever to be produced. This is the 1956 Packard Caribbean Convertible. This is the top of the line model and only 276 were ever produced. This particular car is a factory MES color code and the brochure color scheme. This colors are Dover white, Danube Blue, and Roman Copper. This color combination is coveted among collectors. The 1956 Caribbean is the last of the series spanning through 1953-1956. The 1956 Caribbean is the most extraordinary with highly advanced options including Push Button Drive Transmission, Reversible leather/ Cloth interior cushions, Level Ride Suspension, Dual Antennae, High Compression Dual Quad 374 V8, Ultra-Matic Transmission, Tri-Tone Exterior and interior, Hood scoops, Power Steering, Power Brakes, Power Convertible Top, Power Windows, Power seat, Dual range heater, side courtesy illumination.
This particular Caribbean was restored some years ago and exhibits some use throughout the years. This is a very solid Caribbean and does not show any signs of rust repair. The underside is very clean. It is a very well sorted Caribbean that runs and drives extremely well. The Dual quad intake was taken off years ago for drivebility. The Dual Carburetor and intake goes with the sale of the car. The car starts up quickly and quietly. The car is very powerful and pulls strong through the gears. The Push Button drive work very well. The car stop well and brakes are smooth and true. All power windows and top work well. The level ride suspension also works very well and levels the car as needed. It is incredible how well it still works. All of the chrome was chrome plated some years ago and is showing some wear. The paint is very nice and has been polished to a show luster. The paint is older and does have some chips and imperfections. The original top from is in good condition and the top goes up and down. The top canvas is weathered and a new top will go with the car. For an additional fee, we will have the top installed. All of of the power windows are working at this time. The gauges seem to work and the lights are working. The car drives incredible well.
