1972 MG Midget Description

1972 MG Midget. Rust free. The car has a 1275cc 4 cyl. With newly rebuilt top end. The engine has good compression and come with the factory dual SU carburetors. The engine fuel and ignition components have been upgraded, New Pertronixs electronic distributor, New plugs, wires and Accel HiPo coil. The fuel system has been completely redone with new 12 volt pump and pressure regulator. New battery, master cylinder and slave cylinder. The muffler is from a Harley Davidson motorcycle and has a sound that fits the car. It really sounds awesome. It also has new tires. The chrome is in good shape. One rim is silver and all the others are black. The MG also has front disc brakes. The convertible top is in good shape but does have one small pin hole. It works as it should coming up or down and locks in place with no issues. The interior is clean and the seats are free of rips. The window work as they should. The bad issues are the carbs could use an adjustment and there is some body work needed on the passenger side rear quarter panel and door. The tranny is a little loud in first gear but fine in all other gears (common problem for the MG). The following components come with the car and are need of replacing. The wiper switch, turn signal and ignition switch (currently bypassed to start the car). The clutch has been inspected and is in good shape. The car starts, runs, and is a blast to drive. I also have a complete replacement door for the passenger side that comes with the car, the original door can be fixed or just repainted and replaced. The car is tagged and has a clear title. We have all the receipts for the work that has been done to it. The MG is super cute and always grabs attention. Most all of the hard work has been done and will a nice little car for someone willing to finish it. This was a family project car and we had no intention of selling it, but we are in need of a daily driver for our son who is in college. I can deliver the car up to 100 miles for a small fee to cover the cost of fuel. I have tried to honestly cover all the issues. Please feel free to ask all questions.
