1949 International Harvester Other Metro KB3 113" wheelbase Description

For sale here I have my rare 1949 International Harvester Metro KB3 one ton 113" wheelbase step van that was used as a milk truck early on and then converted to a camper. It has a clear current Ks title. It is missing the bumpers, radiator, engine and transmission. It last had a 1950s Cadillac V8 and auto transmission in it. It still has the steering column and brake pedal assembly from that cadillac mounted in it. It still has its original gauge cluster and seat with an AM tractor radio mounted overhead. It does have some rust mainly in the lower areas and above the windshield. There's rust in the bottom of all the doors but it should be an easy fix as they are simple rectangles. The panel below the rear doors is bad but should be able to be mad from a piece of sheet metal. The engine cover also has rust in it from the windshield being broken out for years. The factory frame is good and solid from front to back. The glass should all be replaced but its flat and fairly inexpensive to have cut by any decent glass shop. The roof is nice and straight other than a small dent on one rear corner. The stainless grille looks to have been cut behind the emblem but can't be seen unless the IH emblem is lifted. This van will have roller tires and steer for transport. It was an old camper conversion but I tore that out so interior walls have some screw holes in them along with the obvious windows. This would make a killer rat rod or a unique advertising piece for a business when rebuilt. The cargo area measures 5'6" H, 6'W, and 9'6"L.
