1929 Packard Description

Beautifully restored 1929 Packard 633 7- passenger sedan. This car has had a complete strip to bare metal restoration and comes from Los Angeles Ca. The paint finish is of dark Maroon with black splash aprons and fenders. The bumpers and grill shell are triple plate chromium. The wheels as spare are restored with stainless Steele spokes and have been trued. I had drove this car at 40 miles per hour with no vibration. The tires are 700-20 blackwall Firestone tires. The motor, transmission and rear differential have been restored also. The interior upholstery is a beautiful gray broadcloth with passenger jumpseats. The privacy silk curtains with cotton pulls work perfectly. There is a Carnival bud vase for flowers that looks beautiful when there are flowers displayed.. I received this car most recently in a trade. If interested please call (978)888-8103

Thank you for all your calls. It is easier for me to list everything I know about the 633. I believe the cost of the restoration would have been between $80,000.00 to $100,000.00
The body was stripped to bare metal. There is some indication that the body was removed because the frame has been repainted. The paint finish maybe lacquer or single stage. Hard to tell. There maybe a clear coat also. The canvas top is of good quality. We washed the car and there was no indication of any water leaks All the chrome has been replated. All the wheels have been laced with Stainless Steele spokes. I believe they were trued also. Tires are new and are Firestone 700-20 blackwall. The interior is broadcloth and is identical to the original that was used. The stitching is incredible. There are two jumpseats in the rear seating. The interior lamp works also. All the windows roll up and down with ease. All the felts have been replaced. The gauges all work except the fuel gauge. It is a King Sealy and the housing to repair them are on backorder and there is no time frame when they will be available. The fuel tank was removed to take care of some inner surface rust and has been sealed and repainted. The clock has also been restored. The speedometer has been restored and needs to be installed. All the garnish moldings are refinished. The motor and drive train (transmission rear differential) were rebuilt with a complete new exhaust. Head lights work on low beam. Tail lights, backup lights and brake lights work also. I can store the 633 for a limited amount of time. I will FedEx the title when your funds have cleared. I advise you to insure the car when the sale is finale. I use Intercity Transportation. You could call them for a quote. The car is in heated storage
