1960 Morris Minor 1000 Traveller WOODY WAGON Left Hand Drive
1960 Other Makes Description
PICK UP ONLY. Great summer project with a brand new clear title and sold as is.Odometer says 45,837 but I'm not sure how accurate that is at all or if the odometer even works. As you can see by the last pic of the parts in the trailer it had a glancing blow to the drivers front, not a heavy head on,spare tire is bent up. No brakes. Will need some work to repair inner fender orreplace. There are some dents and ripples in the hood but nothing I think that couldn't be tapped right back in place. A few small dents on roof and elsewhere but body looks pretty good. A couple spots of rot in the wood but they could maybe be patched in if you are looking to make a quick driver. The wiring needs to be tidied up. Front buckets look to be 70's or 80s GM. I cant really crawl around on the ground but underside looks pretty good. There is a bumper that comes with it that may be correct for the car,it is bent a little and the one off the car has brackets as weel as the one stanchion. The guy we got it from said he sent it out and had it aligned. He was never able to get it running the whole time he owned it,I discovered the drive gear for the distributer was indexed about 90deg out which changes the position of the wires in the cap. I switched the wires in the cap counterclockwise one hole and it tried to start right up. It has an electric fuel pump that I think did not come on but I did not want to mess with anything with the untidy wires . Guy said he drained and added new gas 4 years ago and I'm sure carbs will need to be cleaned. As you can see from the video it starts and sounded great withno knocks or noises, that is as far as I got. I was able after the video to get it to run for about 4 or 5 seconds or carb cleaner and my wife said oil pressure went up to about 60. You can hear the starter spinning becausethe few times we tried to start it my wife didn't quite get the knack ofhaving to pushthestarted knobback in after it kicked over.
