1973 Triumph Stag Description

1973 Triumph Stag For Sale
Great all original condition, no rust or bodywork. Clean and straight. Triumph 3.0 V8 Stag engine. BW35 automatic transmission. Original wire spoke knockoff wheels. Convertible with hardtop and t-top roll bar. A/C (not hooked up), overall great survivor condition. The engine block is not the original, but it's a factory warranty replacement, as designated by the engine numbers. Also upgraded with a Holley 390 cfm 4 barrel carb. Original Strombergs included.

Interior is overall nice. Wood dash and trim are nice. Hardtop headliner excellent. Seats are good except for split in drivers seat. Rear seat is perfect. Carpets were dried up and shot, but matts are still there. Power windows, original am/fm stereo. T-top roll bar has a brand new cover. The convertible top is in fair condition and is worn in spots along the leading edge. The original clock works too!
Again, no rust, no bodywork!
Runs smooth, just needs a few things finalized to be on the road again. I'm recovering from tendon surgery in my hand, and can't do it.The last time this stag was driven, other than by me two weeks ago, was 1999. I've had it 6 years, and I believe it's been indoors the whole time minus 1 year. It's been in my garage the entire 6 years I've had it.No rust!

These pictures are from over the 6 year period I've owned it. Including the trailer pic when I bought it. It now starts right up and idles smoothly.

There have been a few questions about the engine. I will explain here. When I first bought the car, there was no motor. After years of hard searching and a bit of luck, I found this engine. It's a "Factory Warranty Long block" as designated by the "ES" suffix of the engine number. A British car nut south of Lake Tahoe had it stored for years. He said "it's fresh and ready to go". I do not know any more than that, but based on its physical condition and how smooth it runs, it appears he was right. It's a good solid motor! The transmission is the original. Also brand new stainless steel exhaust with large-bore tail pipes.
