1950 Studebaker 2 Door Champion very cool Description

1950 Studebaker Bullet Nose Rat Rod.World War 2 fighter bomber theme. Car is an absolute blast to drive as you can imagine!!! Safe to say you won't run into another like this one. I've seen weak attempts at this type of theme but this is the best yet. Car comes with a few more things than shown. Such as, air raid siren 12V, 2 real aviation steering yokes (one for a future steering wheel and a co-pilot yoke to match), 4 army green tents for interior upholstery, 2 chrome 'fuel door' covers, red LED lights, 3 vintage war bird gauges to be dash mounted andmore.

Car is decked out with Army green paint, painted on 'Stars n Bars' on both doors, German & Japanese Kill stickers made by a professional aviation restoration expert (good up to 500 mph), hand painted nose art, decals for numerous markings.

Has single machine gun barrel poking out the front nose bullet with a real NOS .50 cal gunsight mounted up on the hood above it along with 2 sight markers so you don't miss in traffic. Has 2 machine gun barrels poking out the back of car, each noted with .50 cal decals. All three gun barrels are black anodized aluminum and won't turn bad. Front end marked to resemble WWII fighter such as a P-51 or P-38. Tri-bar light covers give it a good look.

BODY- Has bondo in it here and there. I had the various dent's and flaws left in it on purpose. That anti-aircraft flak can be Hell !! Car sits on a Chevy S-10 from so it's much more modern than an old Studebaker. Front glass and gaskets are newer. Rest of glass is older, show's it age but in good condition. Condition of body is perfect for the attitude of the car. Wheels are a great look for this car. Has interior hood release. Car has no windshield wipers, had them removed.

INTERIOR- Older cloth material that is deteriorating. I have 4 Army green canvas tents to go with car. I never got around to having them sewn into the interior but shouldn't cost that much to complete. We use them now as seat covers on top. Headliner is in good condition. Windows go up and down. Amp gauge, temp gauge and oil pressure gauge work. Speedometer does not of course. Turn signals DO work. Has a floor shifter for the auto trans. Car comes with a set of aviation wing flap controls and a cool vintage War Bird control panel. These are not permanently fixed yet but sit around the floor shifter when it's parked at a show.

DRIVETRAIN- 350 chevy that runs nice. Car can sit for weeks and start right up. Engine bay was painted green along with the car. Engine was painted Silver for a good aviation look. Engine has an Edlebrock 4bbl carb. Check out the air cleaner, I looked for a year for the right one to buy and it's still the only one I've ever seen like it. It sits on top of a standard 7" air filter so functions like a normal one. Words on top of it say "Primary Intake", how cool is that? I do not know the rear end gear ratio, it didn't matter to me. Rear end is quiet and works like it should so I am good with that. Has brand new aluminum radiator, stays about 190*. The wheel chocks you see are for effect, car shifts into park just fine, they are REAL vintage Air Force aviation wheel chocks.

Car HAS POWER FRONT DISK BRAKES AND POWER STEERING. Chevy style. It's easy to drive. Coolest thing on the whole car I think is the exhaust. That is 8 pipes coming right off the block, ported out the side through the front fenders. It's loud and proud! When this thing fires up everyone knows it. It's a blast to drive and play with at car shows. Car was given featured placement at a huge car show last October with about 1,500 cars. I was parked between Richard Petty's 1964 Daytona restored race car and Phil Bonner's 1963 Ford factory LIGHTWEIGHT drag racer. The "Rat Bomber" was placed in some nice company.
