For auction is my 1968 AMX. This car is a real X code 390 go pack car. The engine, transmission and rear end were rebuilt in the early 2000's and the carhasmaybe 5,000 miles on it since then. This AMXstarted out as a rust free car and yetwas stripped down to a bare uni body for a true rotisserie restoration.Every part of this car was redone or replaced at that time.I will provide the buyer with a book with detailed pictures of the car's complete rotisserie restoration. The underside of the car is just as nice as the top side. The engine is a very strong, healthy, original 390. The transmission is an automatic that shifts perfectly. The rear-end is a posi. This car has a lot of get up and go. Inside the car you will find theinteriorto be in great condition as well; nice original door panels, nice clean dash tach and speedometer work like they should, seats are like new, and the steel headliner is very nice and will never sag, the carpet is new as well. This AMX has an I-Pod hook up to listen to music, the dash is not cut for a stereo. All in all the car is very clean and done well but it is not a show car, it does not have a $15,000 paint job and you will find little things here and there that could have been done a little better; I only say thisbecausesome of you may not be able to see the car in person and I don't want anyone to bedisappointed.I want the buyer to get more than they expected.
