The ownership history of this car includes 45 years with the past two owners. It was purchased in 1971 by a gentlemen who worked at Hughes Engineering. The car was said to be meticulously maintained and always garaged. The car received a British Racing Green repaint near the end of his 32 year ownership. It was said to be without history of a major frame or body collision.
Interior appears to be from original and in good condition. Top is newer.Paint shows well.Bright work shows well, but is original.Dash wood appears to have been refinished. Some work done on the drivers floor board – only visible from the undercarriage and then after careful inspection.
Under its current ownership it has been garaged and driven less than 1,000 miles. It received a new clutch in 2015. It was started this recently and runs very well.As the car has seen little road time in the past 13 years it is suggested that it be trailered to its new home and sorted through by a trusted mechanic, there is nothing to indicate that it could not make a distance trip – simply a precaution to potential buyers. It is further suggested that any potential buyers plan a personal inspection to verify the fine condition of this rare opportunity.
