One of the rarest Ricketts Taxi with a incredible History
First registered on 2.Sept.1935 to the later MP Sir Alexander Samuels at Shoreditch.During the Blitz 1940 used as a Staff car by the Grenadier Guard Captain George Charles Grey also MP and by the Age of 22 the youngest MP of the 20.th century The Taxi has the Grenadier Guards Strip around the Body and the Initials GCG on the Doors still in original condition and identical to the Grey Shield in the Parliament.
GCG was killed in Action Operation " Bluecoat" by a sniper July 1944 in Les Repas Normandy.( see Grey Memorial)
During the war the Taxi run every Day at Samuels Taxi Fleet
in Shoreditch until Fall 1953 .
Samuels sold the Taxi to the famous Journalist and book autho, Jan Olof Olsson Nickname Jolo
Jolo used the Taxi drive around England doing research to write a Book about England His later wife Margareta named the Taxi "Lillibeth" (Coronation year).After his Research Jolo ship the Taxi on 3rd Okt.1953 from Tilbury to Gothenburg Sweden.
The Book get published June 1954 Written in Honour of the Taxi"Lillibeth" 1964 Jolo given the Taxi to the Museum at Skokloster.
