1999 Saturn S-Series -- Description

Hello and thank you for looking at my auction. My name is Joe and I sell vehicles differently than most dealers. Buying your next car or truck through one of my NO RESERVE auctions is the best way to take the games out of your next automotive purchase. I personally road test each vehicle before it is offered for sale so I can give you my first hand opinion of how it runs and drives. Please keep in mind that I am not a mechanic. Each vehicle is represented accurately and honestly to the best of my knowledge and ability. Please take the time to read this entire description as well as our Terms & Conditions carefully BEFORE asking questions or placing a bid as most answers can be found in at least one of those places. An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction. Up for a NO RESERVE is a 1999 Saturn SL2 with just 59k original miles. Back in the day, I used up buy and sell dozens of these every year. However, nice ones are next to impossible to find anymore and I am lucky if I come across more than a few per year worth buying. This SL2 is one of those few. I would rate the exterior of this SL2 to be in ABOVE AVERAGE CONDITION for it's age and mileage. As you can see, this is a good looking sedan. It is finished in dark green with black interior and matching gunmetal wheels, which looks good. As with any older vehicle, please expect to find a few flaws and imperfections commensurate with age and mileage. On this Saturn, the only thing worth mentioning is that one of the wheels has a scrape mark on it. The dark green finish has a mile deep shine that looks as smooth as glass all around. The body lines are nice and straight. The hood, doors and trunk all open and close easily. All of the glass and lenses are intact. Aside from the aforementioned scrape on the one wheel, the factory alloy wheels look good and are wrapped in nice rubber with good tread all around. Pride in ownership shows throughout this Saturn. Please take your time and check out each of the photos to see how exceptionally clean this super low mileage SL2 looks. I would also rate the interior of this SL2 to be in ABOVE AVERAGE CONDITION for it's age and mileage. The door cards are clean and tight. The dash and headliner are clean. The carpets are clean and show well throughout the interior. The seats are clean and comfortable, front and back. This is a pretty well optioned Saturn. It has power windows, locks, mirrors, cruise control and traction control. The power windows, locks and mirrors all work properly. The audio system works properly and sounds good. The climate control system also appears to be working properly. The heater works well and the air conditioner blows ICE COLD AIR, too. Again, pride in ownership shows throughout this SL2. The trunk is spacious and clean. These are truly great cars that don't get near the credit they deserve. Mechanically, this SL2 appears to be in good running and driving condition. This Saturn has the optional 1.9L DOHC engine. If you're in the market for an early Saturn, this is the engine you want. The single cam engines have tons of problems. She fires right up and purrs like a kitten. I didn't notice any leaks and the engine does not smoke. Her road manners are excellent. She drives just like you'd expect a 59k mile Saturn to drive. The suspension feels tight and well sorted. Steering and braking feel good, too. The engine keeps proper temperature and feels strong. There have been no idiot lights on during my road test. The automatic transmission engages smoothly and shifts properly with absolutely no issues. Out on the highway, she drives nice and straight with not one single complaint. I'd drive this little Saturn anywhere without a second thought. These cars are ridiculously reliable and are very inexpensive to maintain and service. In addition, I've personally seen MPG's in the high 30's on the highway. I have nothing bad to say about these cars. If you're looking for a reliable and economical car, an early Saturn should be on your list. If you want one that is nearly spotless with super low miles, this specific SL2 should be at the top of your list. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding.
