1962 STUDEBAKER GT HAWK
1962 Studebaker HAWK Description
This car is a nice driver. Body has been removed in the past to repair rust and inspect and repair as needed all mechanical issues. New brakes, chassis parts, exhaust and so forth. Engine appears to have been recently rebuilt as it is very clean under valve covers, and starts and runs well. Very quiet with good oil pressure. Runs cool. Transmission and clutch work well. All gauges work including the clock. New tires. The interior was replaced within the last year with the exception of the headliner which I believe is original. It has an aftermarket Classic type radio. The original radio comes with the car, but I believe it works poorly, if at all. Car is being driven regularly at this time. I know the body and paint were done by Maaco, fairly recently, and is typical of their work. Fit and finish could definitely be better. Most all of the weatherstrip has been replaced. Some of the bright work is new but most is original, and the condition is typical of a 54 plus year old car. Some is also missing having never been reinstalled on the car. Windshield has some light wiper scratches on passenger side especially. All other glass is good. Clear Texas title. Located in the NE Texas area. This is an honest and accurate description, to the best of my knowledge, and you can bid with confidence. Delivery is available to some areas (inquire if interested), but not included, otherwise shipping or pickup is buyers responsibility.
