1963 Studebaker Avanti R1 with AC 2 Door Coupe Description

If you watch Studes on eBay, and this looks familiar, you're right! I bought this on March 30th for $9077 on eBay. I now have serious "buyer's regret". No time, no space. Why did I do that? (Do red sports cars have an odd effect on the brain?)
Take a look ateBay item number:282402237085, sold by "liv4today" on March 30th (eBay won't let me post a link). The description and transaction went well. They accurately described it and are well-known in the Stude community. I would call it a nice "10 footer". I have done nothing to it, and don't want to get emotionally attached! If I can break-even, I'll be happy and I will stop looking at "Barn Finds" and "Bring A Trailer" every day!
The only thing I have to add to their description is that the very original interior has a bit of mildew smell, plus they didn't mention about the keys! Keys were included with the car, but are for a different car. The ignition key "almost" matches. It will turn if you jiggle it a bit, but you'll need new keys for the car. Also, the brakes are dragging. 2 strong guys can push it on a flat surface.
Car is sold as-is, where-is, in Sunnyvale, CA 94086
My price? Well, here's what I'm into this deal for: $9077 purchase price, $1000 shipping, and $125 eBay seller fees. This gives me a break-even price of about $10,200.
It is sold with a Washington State title from 2016, with a signature release on March 30th 2017. The buyer's section is blank. The car has just arrived in California, and I've not gone to the DMV yet. The car is located in Sunnyvale, CA 94086 (a few miles north of the San Jose airport)
I'm a long-time Stude owner ('63 Daytona Convertible). Parts and support for Studebakers is quite impressive. If you have any questions, let me know, or ask for an unbiased view on the Studebaker Driver's Club Forums (sorry, eBay won't let me post a link.)

:

You are bidding on a hard to find 1963 Studebaker Avanti, R1 withfactory A/C.

This car is very nicely equipped, withthe original R1 Studebaker V-8,Power ShiftBorg Warner Automatic Transmission, Air Conditioning, Power Steering, Power front disc brakes, Power Windows, Radio with rear speaker, and heater/defroster.

This car was last driven and parked in 1982.Previous owner tried getting the engine to turn, after adding a little Marvel Mystery Oil, and could not. I have not tried. The undercarriage and hog troughs are very solid without any structural rust issues. (There is some surface scaling, including the tailpipes.) It was originally goldand hasan older red paint job that still looksfine for a driver. The chrome/stainless is decent. The interior is in good condition and still has original headliner and roll bar cover. The drivers seat has some wear as well as the front carpet in the driver's area. Glass shows no chips or cracks.

If you are looking for an Avanti that couldcomfortably cruise in hot summer months, this is a complete, original, solidandnicely equippedAvanti worthy of restoration.

What it needs:

This car has sat in a garage since 1982 and is in non-running condition. You will want to go through the drive train, brakes, fuel system, etc before you will be able to get it back on the road.

This car was ordered with a 289 Avanti R1 engine with the factory Air Conditioning.
