By the time the 2nd owner took possession of it in 1962, it was a driver-quality example that was great for short trips around town. The 2nd owner told us a great story about following a friend in a VW van across the Nevada desert in the late 60's. The van broke down, and the two actually towed it all the way to Indio with this little MG. It remained as a treasured classic with this family until the mid-1990's and they drove it almost every day. The current owner of this 1954 MG TF Roadster purchased it in April of 1995 and immediately started a true nut and bolt restoration in 1996. In fact, he used over 95% of the original parts during the multi-year process and refused to cut a single corner; always opting for perfection despite the costs involved.
