1939 Other Makes p-series Four Door Description
1939 English Rover with Chevrolet 283 Engine and 200c Automatic Transmission. It has all new Stewart Warner gauges. Brake, and fuel lines are new including wheel cylinders The car has a Dana 44 rear axle with brakes to match that axle. I put new Tires on 10 years ago and the car has stayed in the Metal building all these years. All the lights are new.The 283 Chevrolet Engine sounds good. The Automatic Trans has a leak.New carpet in car.The brakes need a proportional valve installed so they will stop better. The handbrake needs installed..Seats and door panels have all been restored. The floors on this car were wood and the body shop installed all metal floors and welded those in place. Also they built a channel on each side of the car to stiffen the body. This body is much more solid than an original Rover Most of the underneath has been done with Herculiner The Door Seals and Windshield and glass seals need replaced and I do know a company that sells the seals..This car is a perfect project for a father and son to finish.I have $ 17,000 including what I paid for the car.Their is still a decent amount of work that needs to be done on the car but then again they bring good money when finished. I'm really just looking for the right person to buy this neat car.In 1983 the owner Lex Bowler Licensed this car in St.george Utah and the License Branch Registered this car as a 1939 Rover, when I purchase it and did the research I found it is Actually a 1948 P-3.Rover. That being said the Vin on the Title matches the Vin on the Firewall..Also the car that year came out with a 12 volt system and also an independant front suspenson that year.I have a manual and a binder full of information on this car... Please feel free to call with any questions.David Lee 435-644-2135 Kanab, Utah
