Sometimes "square" doesn't mean boring. These Mopar Performance 402 c.i.d. Magnum crate engines are "square" in engineering terms, meaning that they have identical 4.00 in. bore and stroke dimensions. However, with 435 hp on tap, no one is ever going to accuse them of being boring. Pair one up with your ride, and you'll get a barrel full of excitement. They're built with high quality parts, featuring Magnum R/T cylinder heads with big stainless steel valves (2.02 in. intakes, 1.625 in. exhausts), heavy-duty valve springs, and a surprisingly civilized 9.0:1 compression ratio. The intake is a tall, single-plane, single 4-barrel M1 type. It has paired runners separated from each other and the base of the manifold by large air gaps intended to deliver a cooler, denser air-fuel charge. The manifold also has molded-in bosses to allow conversion to fuel injection, including MPI components. (However, these engines are not recommended for use with the stock, factory MPI system itself.) The camshaft is a hydraulic roller type, with a 0.501 in. intake lift and a 0.513 in. exhaust lift. Intake duration is 288 degrees; exhaust, 292 degrees. The engines come with a Mopar electronic ignition and distributor, a center-sump oil pan (similar to a Commando engine), Mopar cast-aluminum valve covers, and a double-row roller timing set. They're not for use with air conditioning, and the manifold is taller than stock, so check hood clearance.
This is what I started wit, but when I had oil burning problems I pulled the motor went .20 over increased the compression to 10.0:1 polished and port matched the heads and manifold increased the valve spring size What a difference this made .This car gets a ton of attention when I pull into a empty gas station its full of on lookers when I leave . Its a work of ART I still find myself just staring at her body lines . The paint looks 100 times better in person . The 71Cuda is truly the most sought after car . I have most of the partsreceipts that total over $45,000 just for parts not the car not the paint and not all the labor .
The question of the day isWhat is the Reserve .The answer is $65,000 Other questions are is it numbers matching . Reply Did you bump your head... That's what I'm thinking inside .. lol . No sorry to say its not numbers matching its Actually a Gran Coupe car that's what BP the first letters in the vin mean .I also have about 4 local Vintage and Exotic Car dealers that want my car in there show room . They allsay they can get what I'm asking and they have buyers for my car . Well you can deal direct with me and save a commission .
This Car was also in the background first shot of the Wheeler Dealer Car Show .. The Delorean episode I can provide verification with my shirt I wore on the Show Signed By the crew and Mike Brewer himself .
Phone calls from serious buyers with fundsavailable works best for me . Lets set up an appointment to view a drive this one of a kind Cuda . Seeing is believing .
