1959 Plymouth Sport Fury Convertible
1959 Plymouth Fury Convertible Description
In 1959, the Sport Fury convertible was the top of the line Plymouth and came with a dash-mounted plate inscribed with the name of the buyer. Was a Colorado car purchased from the widow of the original owner. The car has a clear Colorado title in widows name. I will also include a notarized bill of sale stating that the car was purchased new by her husband (his name is on the dash plaque) and that the car had 49,000 original miles when purchased from her. Odometer now shows 49,3XX miles. Rare car in original Mint Green color with swivel seats, power steering, power windows, and power top. Engine runs smooth and push button transmission shifts well. Radial white wall tires. Paint is nice and shiny and does not have many chips, but is not show quality. Windows roll up and down with the exception of the right quarter window, which does not operate. Windows regulators should be cleaned and lubricated. Top goes up and down and is in pretty good shape. Chrome is in good shape for a car this age, but pot metal has minor pitting. Recently has had all wheel cylinders replaced along with new rubber brake hoses and master cylinder. New optima battery. Car has solid rockers and exterior sheetmetal, but original owner replaced the trunk floor and had floors patched. Repairs are solid, but not factory original. Drive this car as is, or restore to have a show quality car . Car has 318 with Torqueflite transmission.
