1972 'Cuda 340 car with a 440 in it. Barn find for more than 25 years
1972 Plymouth Barracuda Description
Up for sale is a great true barn find.
1972 Plymouth 'Cuda
was in storage for the last 16 years and before that about 15 more.
I believe that the millage is correct at 59k
in the 70's the car had mini tubes installed and a roll bar. They also added some re-enforcement to the uni-body
Originally came as a 340 with automatic. Currently has a low millage 440 big block with 727 transmission. Motor came out of a motor home with less than 50k miles. transmission was out of the same home. The previous owners pulled it out of storage 16 years ago to go to a mopar race. Unloaded the car off the trailer and some how the transmission failed. They took it home, rebuilt the transmission and upgraded it with a new converter and shift kit. It then got parked again until a few months ago when we found it.
Since then the Gas tank was replaced along with a new sending unit. Rebuilt the carburetor and added a new 4 row core radiator.
It is now in running driving condition.
All gauges work, yes the tach works Even the tick tock clock works!
Bucket seats are in like new condition
Door panels are with out cracks or damage
Dash is in very nice shape and not cracked out
all gauges have nice white faces that can be read very well.
Disc brake front end
8 and 3/4 rear differential with limited slip with 3.73 gear set.
This car has almost no rust. The only rust I have found is under the original vinyl top around the back glass. Rest of the car is super solid.
will be doing a video of the car running later this week for you.
