1973 Plymouth Road Runner Base Description

For sale is a 1973 Plymouth Roadrunner.

The previous owner purchased this from an insurance company. He said that this car was in a collection that was involved in a fire and issued a reconstructed title. The car was cleaned up with no real damage to the paint. That is about all i know. I have owned it for four years.

This vehicle is a head turner. Orange paint is in good condition with some scratches and imperfections. There is an area on the drivers side rocker panel that has had some bubbles on it since I purchased this car a few years ago. Since I have owned it I had Passion Performance of Tamaqua, PA build a new overdrive transmission to lower the rpm's. I think the rear is a 4.11, but not sure. When installing the transmission the pistol grip Hurst linkage was rebuilt and a new clutch and throwout bearing installed. The master cylinder was replaced along with a leaking wheel cylinder. A new wiper motor was also installed. Ball joints were replaced. New Thrush mufflers were also installed. An updated radio has input for MP3 player with dual stereo speaker that replaced the single mono stock front speaker. 6 by 9 rear speakers.. The gauges need some attention. At this time the speedometer bounces and is on the high side so I have a Speedhut gps unit installed in front of the original. The speedometer was disconnected when I purchased it so the mileage is not correct. There is an aftermarket oil pressure gauge installed under the dash. The ammeter works. The fuel gauge works sometimes and the temperature gauge doesn't. I have new Speedhut gauges and parts to mount them available. The tires are in excellent shape and mounted on Cragar SS wheels. I know this is a true Roadrunner by the vin number, but the 383 cubic inch big block engine and transmission are not original to the car. I purchased this car through a third party so I do not know much about it's history. The interior is all black with bucket seats. It is in fair shape. The headliner has a couple holes in it. The rear window cranks are missing other than that the rest of the vehicle is pretty complete.

Just had lube oil and filter service and current PA inspection in April.
