1971 Plymouth Barracuda Cuda Trim Description
For sale: This is a 1971 Barracuda Convertible. I first saw this car in 1992 in original 6 cyl / 3 speed configuration. The car has been thru 2 other owners since then. I am the third owner. The car was modified by the previous owners. This car has been stored away since the early 1990's and is well preserved.
The car is options with. Power Steering, Power Disk Brakes, Power Top (original to this car, Convertible Rafter Assembly), Sport Mirrors, 71 rear wing, 8 3/4 open rear axle, Correct 71 Front and Rear Rubber Bumpers, Cassette Deck console mount, Shaker Hood with Ring. I have a Shaker Bubble to go with the car. The Grill is very nice condition the trim pieces are all in great shape, no cracks, nothing broken off and missing, Almost NOS. The lower valance grill insert is in nice condition and is original.
I planned to build a clone 426 convert but I am busy with work and need the space. I have most of the Hemi items if you are interested. Not included in the sale is: (a fresh 70 Hemi in the machine shop with correctly restored 71 Hemi 4 speed carbs ready to dyno. and I would Dyno the Hemi for anyone interested in this engine. I also have a 18 spline A883 correct for the Cuda. I have a reproduction style Hemi Power Brake Booster. I have a rebuilt E-Body Dana 60. But these items are for a package deal.) I would include the parts collected as a package deal to keep this project on track as a stock representation of a stock 71 Hemi Cuda Convertible.
I do have a rebuilt front Hemi suspension with Power Assisted Disk Breaks, Hemi Torsion Bars. A new Firm Feel Power Steering Box with new Pitman Arm. I do have a Power Disk Brake Booster for a 440 type setup. I will include a new style Master Cylinder correct for PB Setup. The car will go sell with a V8 K-frame. The Hemi K-Frame is part of the Package deal.
The fenders are original 71 fenders that are stamped for louvers and are identical to the factory. The Body has had the Quarters replaced but they are not to show standards, they were replaced in the 1990's. There is a lip where they over layed the panels inside the trunk. The body was cradled during paint and is sealed top and bottom. The trunk floor pan was also replaced.
The interior is a white interior and needs to be recovered. The seat frames are all in great condition. I have Placo door panels in the photos but I also have an original set that going with the car. The dash is a standard dash. The power loom for the power windows are included with the car.
The Door and Quarter Glass is complete and in good condition. Cuda comes with 15x7 Rally's Repos from Year One.
